My people paintings aren't standard portraits. I like to paint regular people in every day situations; working, talking and playing. They're very much slice-of-life scenes...like a stop motion captured from our day. I feel like painting these scenes honor our everyday moments-- which make up the bulk of our lives and if we're lucky, we give these moments all our attention and are fully present ---and that's what makes a wonderful life.
